The growing cyber security challenge for education

The Growing Cyber Security Challenge for Education

Why Cyber Security Matters in Educational institutes

The education sector faces mounting challenges in ensuring the security of its systems and data. According to the UK Department for Science, Innovation and Technology’s cyber security breaches survey 2025, 91% of higher education establishments identified security breaches during the previous year with schools and colleges continuing to experience more cyber security breaches than equivalent businesses.

A cyber breach can cause schools, colleges and Universities financial losses and significance reputational damage.
